Beer for Breakfast

I had beer for breakfast

Scotch for lunch and dinner

The body sacrifices for the mind

No nutritional value sought

Only to maintain where I was last night

No matter how hard I fight

What eggs, oatmeal, and pancakes are taught

Don't ease what I feel this time

I am no Wheaties winner

Kellogs or bacon can't fill my glass

Beer for breakfast feeds my soul

Scotch for lunch and dinner makes me whole

To deal with the day sober and plain

Could only drive me insane
