Majority Rules and Headphoneless
Majority Rules
Fight minority fight
Believe that the majority wants to share
Affluence and influence
You need to be successful too
No matter your constituents
You will be subdued
By those who only care
For what they consider right
Homophobia is sojourned
Abortion by some is immoral
Because life must be able to proceed
The societal convention is that humanity must create
What that thought refuses to heed
Is that someone's born fate
Could be the perceived sorrow
That no child from their loins could be born
The Colorful are relegated to the margins
Women are still owned by sexuality
Women are always and only told
That the pussy between their legs
Are what some men need and behold
Only for those men's raids
To tell all Women that this prevailing mentality
Cannot be changed and only possibly bargained
Mental illness and birth defects abound
The average age must be met
Despite cultural devide, eat what health professionals decide
And live this life that should be lived
Those who don't or cannot thrive
Those who were born to starve, kids
Who were made to be someone's pet
Are all different and rarely around
The Majority rules! The Majority must rule!
The fight for democracy must be fought
We've all been fooled! We all are fools!
What is true for most can't be taught
Headphoneless
I love to listen to music and radio
My phone died
I could not listen to anything
What I always inadvertently tried
Was to deny the sounds of the city
I hated the sound of people
Birds and breathing and scratching
Car horns and sirens, voices gritty
My headphones could no longer hide
The sounds I never wanted to know
All the sounds that music rid me
Radio show hosts only allow and provide
An avenue for me to hide
