Incidence
There are incidents and there is incidence
Recently I wrote that incidence is almost inconsequential
That the weather shouldn't affect how we maneuver
But that was me being my most foolish
How can I order myself to deny
6 Happenstance?
There is no reconciling the free will of others
You get in your car and drive in the same direction as some asshole
You'll never know
That day can be the day where you drift together
Forever marred by contact you had never thought or planned
12 How can my mood and its druthers not be moved
By the sun and her warmth
Or her insufferable days of anger where she attempts to melt
Everything?
If all of my intentions are drowned by Biblical floods
Or if the city is enduring the last days of the Ice Age,
18 What if winds are wearying the hat on my head,
And its blown into traffic and a car runs over my hat,
Wet from the rain soaked pavement
My hat left and forgotten under the ice and frost
Then faded and scarred by the noon day sun?
The incidents in experience still, only happenstance
24 Maybe I didn't have to wear the hat
I knew what the weather could do to my head
My hat just a casualty of a futile war
Against preparing for what you cannot control
It isn't my fault if I get angry or sad or even happy
I can't control anything!
Universe Unravelling is in progress... Coming soon! AYEEE
