Sobriety and Its Horrors

I just finished my drink
And it is going to be my last one for awhile
I think
No more will I vomit bile
Because the night before
I couldn't handle all that I had to drink
No more beer, wine, or liquor
So unclouded I should think
Now my vision is clearer
No longer is my progress impeded by a substance
That causes my true judgement to disappear
I am free of pollutants substantive
I am honest with who I see in the mirror
My abstinent mind is steady and level
And I still am a devil
