Affimative? Action

Why is Affirmative Action a fading policy nationally? The NFL, NBA, and MLB all have Affirmative Action policies. Are those sports leagues more flawed than the national government? Are the histories of those respective sports leagues filled with more extreme hate and disdain for minorities namely Afro-Americans than the national government? People of African descent are the majority in all professional sports, at least the ones mentioned. Professional sports leagues are models of the national government, their rules and regulations are all based on the model set by the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. If professional sports, something not important to sustaining life (it does improve the quality), and something that has many black athletes and other staff has to mandate Affirmative Action policies then so should every business, university, state and local government. They should have to employ the same policy of Affirmative Action explicitly. Not cloaked like admissions to major universities and top positions at fortune 500 companies, but written into policy. Written into policy because the NFL, NBA, and MLB still have to employ such policies.

And don't even try conjure up some bull shit like "The government is more progressive than pro-sports." I don't even have to argue against that point.

We need to stop cutting off limbs and start cutting off heads. It's the system that continually perpetuates the civil and human rights problems for our people in this nation. Malcolm eloquently affirms that statement "It's not a southern senator it's the system." More than him and especially me, the government affirms that. The government affirms it by their actions. The FBI releases a memo saying that Blacks and Hispanics are most likely to become targets of racial profiling and police brutality. What's the saying, "actions speak louder than words?" That's something that authority tells inferiority so they don't question whether authority is right or wrong.

Why do the Constitution and Declaration of Independence hold so much prestige and magnanimity? Why are they protected so greatly even though what's written harms some human beings immensely and benefits some so powerfully? It just doesn't make sense. As a majority, if the popular "I like Negros I have have black friends" montra is so true then you must question; if the NFL, NBA, and MLB have Affirmative Action policies, why isn't it needed everywhere? Blacks are the majority population on the sports landscape, but still when hiring for positions of power they need Affirmative Action policies. If sports needs Affirmative Action, a realm where blacks are the majority and also most dominate. Then it should be a nationally recognized policy, being that blacks are a minority and are afforded way less opportunities.

I don't agree with Affirmative Action, I don't think that anyone should be hired or fired because of the color of their skin, or admitted or denied admission to a school because of the color of your skin. You should be hired based on the strength of your resume or admitted based on the criteria of the school, but you can't deny the role that history has played and still plays in this society, especially when it comes to the wealth of Whites and the poverty of Blacks. The government should decree Affirmative Action a national policy or abolish it from the the national conscience.

I say we start all over. How about it?
