Poignant artwork.

Most people are visual so this artwork seems to be fitting. Still....no one's going to get the picture. These drawings are by Will C.P.S....I think. That's how I read the signature at the bottom of the artwork. But that's not the point these political cartoons tell the truth and that's the sad thing. Very poignant. I wish they weren't.

One piece of commentary I would like to offer on these pieces of art is that they seem to be too preachy. I come off that way too and it's hard to devise a way to connect with people without that person feeling like you're judging them. We need to find a way to connect with our people who are the victim of these afflictions and vices in a way that doesn't offend them or turn them away. I hate feeling like an evangelist, like I'm forcing some shit down someone's throat even though in all my heart I believe what I'm saying is the truth.

That being said what Will is trying to say in his artwork is undeniable and I wish people would take heed to the messages inscribed in them. And sometimes you need to beat someone over the head with the truth until they pass out and when they wake up hopefully they realize what's really going on, Marvin Gaye style.
