The Artwork of Emory Douglas

Great artwork! I don't think that it is ever a coincidence that artwork, music, paintings, or whatever the art form may be is as poignant today as it was when it was conceived. It's a continuous cycle of oppression. It's a shame that most art forms and more artists don't reflect oppression and disenfranchisement in their art. I've noticed that the good artists can really express their own pain but the great ones can express everyones. Emory Douglas was the man! He was the Former Minister of Culture for the Black Panther Party.
