Addiction
Weeds the TV show is almost as addictive as Weed the drug. Would Weed be capitalized? Are the names of drugs capitalized? Heroin or heroin? Cocaine or cocaine? I think I would capitalize the name of drugs their nouns for one and names for two but the third reason is that drugs are important. Well at least to me.
This nation is fueled by petroleum and drugs. You name it someone is getting high on it right now. For a few months (more seriously and critically now) I've been exploring a life without Mary Jane.
That would be a horrible life. I've been contemplating and mulling around in my mind the prospect of a life without sweet, sweet Mary. I don't know how else to escape reality because reality absolutely sucks! Reality is confining, it's suffocating, and Mary frees me she helps me breath. From natural disasters, murders, rape, or even just my job I need an escape, a relaxant. For that brief high moment the hands of reality are no longer squeezing my nose and covering my mouth. Her long python legs release the pressure on my torso and she just falls at my feet.
Maybe I shouldn't be trying to escape reality....maybe I should just deal like everyone else. Oh wait, everyone else is addicted to something too. I'm already like everyone else.
Some of the shit I read in the news is just so damning to humanity that it breaks my spirit. I tremble and lose hope. Which got me thinking again....I hope that you're a tool of release and not a tool of cowardice. I hope I'm not using you, Mary, to run away instead of holding my ground.
I now realize that I'm addicted. It's kind of hard to come to grips with that. My mind and body can't function properly without this substance. Addiction is the ultimate lust. You don't need it but you have to have it. I have to have it. I can't wait until the day I don't. If that day ever comes (if I truly want it to come). Until then lets smoke.
I think it's incredibly asinine to arrest people for growing and selling a plant. There is no reason to punish people for what they choose to put in their bodies or for what they choose to sell or buy to put in their bodies. If I want to enjoy ALL the wonderful "fruits" of Mother Earth then let it be. Leave the 'dro alone. If government really cared about our health and our minds Ronald McDonald would be Public Enemy #1. This vid makes me wish I was back home to enjoy the WA's finest homegrown. Cali's been holding it down though.
