Rest in Peace Isaac Hayes (article linked here). I can't believe this shit! Two of our great artists gone in back to back days. This is a shitty week. Death really does come in threes if you couple his death with Bernie Mac's and George Carlins. Let's hope that George Carlin (RIP) is included in death's twisted threesome.
I was in Olympics mode too. So pumped for the Olympics especially the USA men's basketball team (who demolished host country China this morning with about 100 million dunks) and this has to happen. I don't think you understand how much I love Isaac Hayes. Black Moses, Truck Turner, The Hammer. From his Blaxploitation roles to his role in I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, to his exceptional albums Black Moses, Chocolate Chip, Branded, Hot Buttered Soul, and his most famous work the soundtrack to Shaft he was the man. He composed for so many great artists in his day he worked with so many legends who were lucky to be in his company. An artistic genius.
