"I know that pain. So don't you run away like you used to." Layne Staley (Alice In Chains/Brother)

He is so great! Layne Staley is my favorite lead singer ever! Throw any name at me and he's my favorite.

I've been so down lately. Down on money, down on feelings, down in the dumps. As some people like to say. But I'm not going to run away.

I keep saying to myself "that I can just go back home. I'm going to move back and start my life over in Seattle." I don't want to rely on that though. I've cemented myself in the City of Angels and moving back home is like running away. That's how I see it. I'd be running away. And I won't. I can't. FUCK THAT!

I must admit that homesickness is an illness as stubborn as AIDS. It just won't go away but being successful isn't running away when you're faced with grand adversity. I haven't been this down financially in along time but talking to other people in my community comforts me. I'm not alone.

"How are you doing?" - Me

"I'm good, but going through hard times right now." - My neighbor

Sounds like a poor movie script but that's what's been going around. I never thought the recession would hit home as hard as it has but it has. Tyson in his prime hard, Hurricane Katrina hard.

Well not quite, I still have my home (apartment) but for how long?

Things aren't that dire but they're getting there.

"Like you used to do. Like you used to do." - Layne Staley (Alice In Chains/Brother)

Not like I used to do.

FELIZ CINCO DE MAYO!
