Me Friends

I haven't had a great impact on many lives
Easy to forget, I am
No friends. Just who I know
It's comforting not to worry about phone calls or letters
Text Messages, Emails, or Facebook Notifications
No Re-Tweets or Mentions
I'm in these relationships by myself
I hate that it took me so long to realize this
I must forget those who meant so much
When I meant nothing
All those hushed days I thought to myself
All those wordless and voiceless nights
I hold no spite or grudge
I must lack what a friend doesn't
That's why I have none

Well I suppose I do have a friend
Since my beginning and until my end
The one soul for whom I can rely
I must only look myself in the eye
Me, I must not betray or doubt
While you all disremember me and discount
