Love's Regret

You thought it would solve everything
But certain trappings dissolve it
Now you regret how you felt and the time
A beautiful face is faceless and her mind
Is as empty as your soul is dumped
She makes you angry enough to kill
Ensuring that you'll feel remorseful
She makes you happy so you abstain
In certain times that's all you have
Murder is a smile or a laugh
Abusing trust, disabilities are a knife
Or a gun or two hands strangling
Wrapped tight around a soft neck
Souring sweet breath
Oddly, her perfect skin comforts your hands
So get away as fast as possible
You will regret all that is
Just like you regret all that was
She is breathless, without motion
Speechless you are and sullenly you grab a blade
Vertically along your arms you cut
To feel the pain that a bullet to the brain disallows
You grab a gun and point it to your head
A Shakespearean tragedy
You should have never fell in love
But you had to die happy
