Please, Don't Die Too (The Los Angeles Lakers)
I have been a fan of the Lakers most of my life
Five championships I have cheered for
Seven since I was born
Today we mourn the loss
Of basketball's greatest owner
Its greatest doctor
In Los Angeles I should have drowned twice
In the same pool I record
A lesson torn
Is life about being the boss?
Or making that three in the corner?
We're all at a loss, fostered
The affluence spent on moral
On ensuring the happiness of others
Succumbs to competition
I am better than the others who want to win
The other is not me or better
This reign is infinite
I hope the team corals
And acts as a team of brothers
The team's mission
Begins
And ends because of an unmeasured
Wit
Keep winning Lakers
Do not admire this slump
You cannot win all the years wanted
But you can always be most likely
Always thought to almost win
To control basketball
Those fakers
Who know that the Lakers trump
All that they have vaunted
Must precisely
Embrace their chagrin
Their call
Dr. Buss created a franchise who may stumble
But never fall
