Survived Only In Dreams (Video)
Survived Only In Dreams
Laying on my chest
You whisper apologetically in my ear
Coupled with the kisses on my neck
They manage your success
As my heart forgives what it hears
Your regretful breath warms me to rest
My eyes awaken to a dream
The blankets on top of me solemnly lay
The illusion I succumbed to willed
A mind's scheme
My perception remorsefully frayed
As I close my eyes wishing the dream real
I wrote the poem above in November 2011. Members of Exploding Buffalo and myself began to shoot the video above, "Survived Only in Dreams," exactly a year later in November 2012. Now it is complete. Similarly to my book the video was released later than I originally had planned but you can't rush the creative process or a lazy mother fucker. Thanks for your patience and I hope that you enjoy this possible representation of the poem.
Currently, I am working on the treatment for a video based upon my poem, "Banned From All Bars." The Exploding Buffalo crew and I should began filming for it very soon.
Someone Sinister is available now.
