The Bridge Home

In the next year and a half or so the city of Los Angeles is going to start tearing down the Sixth Street Bridge and begin building a more structurally sound bridge that will be the most modern of modern. Probably the most iconic bridge in Los Angeles, it has been featured in many films and is the only L.A. River bridge that has those fantastic, human shit soiled, great arches. I was riding my bike through downtown today and chose to take the Sixth Street Bridge to my Boyle Heights apartment for the very first time. Hopefully the new bridge has toilets. Here are some of the pictures I took of this soon to be forgotten iteration of the Sixth Street Bridge.
