Banned Books (Video)

I recently wrote a poem entitled 'Banned Books.' As every artist feels eventually (I hope) I wrote something that was manifestly; fucking awesome! Awesome as fuck! I loved it! I really thought that I wrote something that became exactly what I was thinking. I knew immediately that I wanted to interpret this poem, I wanted to make a video.

Thanksgiving night a couple friends and myself went to a bar. One of my friends and I were talking about what we were currently doing artistically and I had mentioned that I wanted to produce a video for a poem that I had recently written. I told him I wanted to do something similar to the video I did for my poem 'Black Coffee.' Just a POV of some books burning, essentially. The friend I was speaking to said that he wanted to help me because he loves my work (he and his family have been some of my biggest supporters) and that he would love to help me produce this video. I said of course because I know his work and his work ethic and I worked with him on the 'Survived Only In Dreams' video. He asked me to to read the poem to him, I pulled up the poem on my phone then gladly did so. After I was finished my other friend asked, "Why don't you become a rapper?" I responded laughingly; "I don't wanna do that to myself" (whatever-the-fuck that means) while Vladimir immediately became a director and started speculating on how we could make this video work.

So we're making it work. Special shout out to my great friend Vladimir Santos of ImportedTV for all of his insight and for Directing the video for my poem 'Banned Bars.' The video is coming very, very soon.
