Support System

  "What do you believe is the corner stone of your success?
  Who helped you become the person you are today?"
  Forgive me for saying this, or don't, but
  That's a fucked up question
  "What about that question do you detest?"
6  I disagree that anyone had a say
  In anything about me but my DNA
  If I'm in a rut
  Why is that alone, my obsession?

  My "support system" didn't blunder?
  When I am considered "successful"
12 They are my catalyst, this ordained stimulant
  "I feel that you still don't understand yourself
  Your perception and the reality around you are asunder
  What person wants to support your thoughts, stressful?
  Your disposition detestable?
  This life is about absolution and resilience
18 You hate yourself, you can't accept someone's worth or wealth"

  I devalue life? I don't appreciate breath or our lungs?
  I am awful because I contend
  That if there are people "responsible" for your success
  Then in your failure they're also culpable?
  You should be hung!

  How can you defend
  "Friends, family, and supporters" who suggest
  That what you're inclined to do is despicable?

  They refuse to support you or acknowledge you
  Even worse they refute your beliefs
30 Friends and family that only allow you to assume
  "Friends and family" that only know your good days
  Who know and refute
  What you eat
  Despite it being their favorite treat
  "So you're denying your own doom?
36 You don't believe in a brace, or what they would say?"

  I don't, all this means to me
  Is that not many support me
  And not only because I don't ask
  It isn't a noble task
