Apocrypha and Easy Way Out

Apocrypha

My work is genuine
So there is no need for doubt
Most of it is exaggerated fiction
I originally thought I was writing with true feeling
True knowledge, chaotic structure, but true
That's how I felt
They were actually written
And I preached those feelings and feeling that way
Or that way, or like that
Honest to my deepest, darkest, truest mind and heart
Those words written were true then
They had to have been
No matter the weather I told my truth
And it ruled my universe
It won't anymore
It will be forged
It will be contrived
But it won't be lies
I will it to be gospel
You will too

Easy Way Out

The easy way out is what I tried to choose
Kill me now!
An easy plan and not a random act
You haven't made that choice...
Or thought about it yet or often
Maybe because it is the "easy" thing to do
And you're only into doing things difficultly
That's why I tried to take the easy way out
I wanted to give up on doing difficult things
I must be an idiot
Because I tried to take the easy way out, and failed
Now I have to live life hardened
