Dark Energy

I have noticed that a lot of people think
That things should be a certain way
There is a truth that permeates through humanity, that links

All of mankind to a very strict behavioral display
But also there is this mysterious and awkward feeling that stinks
It represents truth and its decay

It causes some of humanity to act past sanity's brink
The happiness and good that should be felt by mankind everyday
Is bastardized, exploited and in some souls extinct

How can we as humans accept this dismay?
We must fight against those who skate outside the universe's moral rink
The universe in all its vastness only should relay

Comfort, beauty, and a pure motive is all we should drink
From disturbed inclinations, impulsions, and their necessity we must stray
Every person on the planet must believe what the moralists think

I have a feeling that what I know is for truth's sake
But it cannot be heeded to because I misunderstand human nature's say
Maybe the truth and morality is not always the only take
Surely, we are a dark energy's prey
