Clarity and The First Law of Thermodynamics
Clarity
I have never wanted to be clairvoyant
To see what will happen
To know that it will happen
Sometime, somewhere
I don't believe in clairvoyance
The windshield is too dirty
The window is boarded up
My mind is cloudy
And can only see the past
That's how I know what I'll see
Because of what I've been through
That's how I know what I won't see
Because of what I will go through
The First Law of Thermodynamics
I am obsessed with death and the energy and its thought processes
That tend to lend themselves to my fragile mortality
I understand what that means
That most people, most beings' energy won't align to mine
They will avoid me like they avoid dealing with death and sadness
Like they circumvent confronting madness
I'm tired of people refusing pain but accepting time
And not understanding that comfort is not what is seems
You can isolate the smiley faces, flowers, rainbows, and gumdrops as practicality
But you will realize that the energy that causes darkness which pain obsesses
Is not different, a simple avoidance, or some inane effigy
That energy you feel that you always want to avoid
You hope to destroy that power that causes your frowns
Pain is something you cannot bare so you wish it dead
All of your perceived negativity you want to dissipate to evaporate to abscond
Happiness, well-being, productivity and positivity are the forces that you find fond
The energies that you find least evident in my head
You never think that maybe this dark, deathly energy has been around
That it occupies a much needed void
That it always has and that it will always be
Those dark times that you thought had left
Because good times came and destroyed them all
Was a farce, ignorance and its inability to comfort
Death and loathing, loathing and death, death and loathing
Forget about it, disremember it because it doesn't have to exist
Your type is who I cannot resist
Those who go aimlessly poaching
For a universe that is absent of death and loathing, where sorrow is encumbered
But you cannot disavowal that bad thoughts survive, wrought from an energy banal
An energy that always survives death over and over again it survives death
I have never wanted to be clairvoyant
To see what will happen
To know that it will happen
