I support our president
Truly, I hoped he would win
Despite believing a loss was evident
I always believed in him

What he has said and will say is captivating
I cannot wait to hear what he says, what he thinks
When he won, I was elated holy, by what he was cultivating
A society, a nation on destruction's cold, indiscriminate brink

He is only saying what our nation has been doing forever
We have to reckon with our privilege around the globe
Our vanity, our impulse to feel good, to buy, to exploit, and how those flaws we cover
I support our president because the history, the darkness we hide; he shows

Let him lie, let him deny you and us, your community, our people
Let him lead this country down the path of its inevitable destitution
Let him be honest about what has always made this country full
Let our president destroy this nation; for the world's retribution
