Biting my tongue 

Trying hard not to say what I really should say

It may add to the discourse

Or it may just get me in trouble

And dishonor what education is about

The truth hurts feelings because lies rule

And lies are what govern us

And lies are what we crave

And lies are what ease our breaths

And lies are your feelings

And lies must maintain your feelings

And you must believe the lies

Because how else could you survive?
