The Exception To The Rule and Proud

Hey black people, be proud
We are the exception to the rule
The rule is that the United States of America is opportune
And if it isn't for you you are essentially inept
You notice how people who look like us and don't
Are always trying to connect with us? They are always trying to equate our "struggles"
Opportunists
You notice how they pretend to treat us like family?
They saw what happens to us (depended on it)
They saw it all, in fact in their own countries they mimicked them
They believe about black, us, as the white supremacists do
That is why we can be destroyed in front of their eyes
In fact, their eyes are watching their hands destroy us
And when who they want to be, their model betrays them...
Well, betrayal is relative
They look at us, their hands around our necks, "Why aren't you helping us? We're trying to be like them! We're trying to be like them!"
We know!
