POETRY: "Trust Us, You Have To!"

"Trust Us, You Have To!"

Trust is earned I believe that is true

And history will help me not trust you

Disproportionately affected that is historically true 

And that is the reasoning I use

Despite never showing a reason kind

To trust you this time

Boldly you offer more lies 

Obviously, my mind you despise

For some reason, it is believed 

That I can be forced to forget my memories

All because simple and plain 

Someone is imbued with the illusion of being the same

Authority is only given to those who benefit only from the trust true

All the risk I view, all that is owed I due 

Despite never earning my trust 

I should put all my trust in you?

Why?

Trust is something you will never prove!

History is my guide

And it is your history to lie!

So no matter how lame or how I am maimed

My trust you cannot gain
